Tara & Nikki's Classic Asbury Park Designs

As their six month anniversary approaches, we thought we would share these designs we created for Tara and Nikki's September wedding. We printed their wedding ceremony programs on small bags that were then filled with confetti. The brown bags were filled with goodies for hotel guests staying overnight. Personalized cocktail napkins with the famous "Tillie" the lettering from the classic  "Greetings from Asbury Park" postcard were a nice touch.

Wedding Map Gift

Here is a recently completed map that was commissioned as a wedding gift by the bride's sister. Jenn and Jeff were married last October in Spring Lake, New Jersey at St. Catharine Church. It was fun recreating their wedding cake, along with the rest of their story, in watercolor.

Evolution of an Original Monogram

Last summer, we had the pleasure of working with Susan and Jason to design their wedding invitations. The invitations featured an original monogram design, which they later used on cocktail napkins, ceremony programs and menus, along with their wedding cake! Our original monogram designs start with a handful of sketch options, from which our clients are welcome to combine elements to create the monogram of their choice. Susan and Jason's final monogram was a combination of two of the original sketches. We worked up a revised sketch and then finalized the monogram in digital form. The bride’s mother had the monogram engraved on a custom cake knife, which we thought was a beautiful, thoughtful gift. Additionally, the couple used the monogram as a dance floor spotlight.

Rumson Country Club Save the Dates

It's always fun to do wedding venue illustrations, and this dramatic entryway to the Rumson Country Club was no exception. The illustration was created using pencil and watercolors. Lindsay and Blake will be married at the Club in May, and we designed this save the date card for their wedding.

Bay Head Yacht Club Letterpress Wedding Invitations

This is another set from last summer. Bridgin and Ian had a very specific concept in mind when we met last winter to discuss their wedding invitations. A view of the Bay Head Yacht Club from the water was to be the focus, so we first created a pencil sketch of the building outline. A digital line art illustration was then created and split to cover the design of both wedding invitation and rsvp cards. A nautical theme was tied into the corresponding cards  and envelopes in the set, and touches of yellow added to the navy and white color scheme. Milkfed Press printed the beautiful letterpress cards and did a stellar job of getting the illustration to line up on both cards!

Alyssa & David's Blush & Soft Floral Wedding invitation

Here is a wedding invitation set from last September. Alyssa & David requested their first names be hand lettered for their wedding invitation. The lettering served as the focal point of their invitation, with the first letters extracted to make a monogram. The monogram was printed on hangtags, using letterpress and rose gold foil. The rest of the set complemented the foil's warm tone with blush and ecru cards and envelopes, as well as a subtle white and blush rose patterned belly band and envelope liner.

The Knot Real Weddings

Our lovely clients Andrea and Drew's beautiful wedding is featured in the Fall/Winter 2015 issue of The Knot New Jersey. We were thrilled to be included in the "Special Jersey Shore Guide" of their Real Weddings section. Andrea and Drew were married at the marvelous Mallard Island Yacht Club last spring. We created an original watercolor illustration based on the bride's bouquet, and it was complemented on the invitation with gray letterpress and rose gold foil, printed by Milkfed Press.

Monogram & Scallop Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Shannon and Werner were married last weekend. Shannon approached us earlier in the year hoping we could create a pattern based on the scalloped beading on her wedding dress.  An asymmetrical design appealed to her, so we collaborated to design an original monogram with this idea in mind. The pattern was blind letterpressed in the corner and the monogram and text letterpressed in blue ink. We alternated using silver/gray and blue on the cards and envelopes. The couple had fun using their monogram for several reception pieces, including a mock wine barrel for cards, a cake topper, and custom silver matchbooks. Letterpress printing by  Milkfed Press.

Caitlin and Dan's Formal Engraved Black, White and Silver Wedding invitations

We are about a year late showing off this graphic black, white and silver wedding invitation set. Caitlin and Dan were married in Manhattan last September. We used silver engraving, black and white metallic stocks, and custom stamps to create a formal, glitzy feel. An original illustration of the New York City skyline was used for the RSVP card and then again in reverse for custom stamps. We also created a drawing of their church for ceremony programs and combined graphic black and white stripes and a soft pink watercolor splash for their double-sided wedding menus.
