Jillian and Steve's Mallard Island Yacht Club Nuptials

We used soft Italian cotton paper with a deckled edge and a monochromatic color scheme for Jillian and Steve's wedding invitations. Their save the date featured an original sketch of the Mallard Island Yacht Club boathouse chapel, and the invitations as well were highlighted by soft pencil sketches. Sometimes a challenge arises from working without color, but in this case, all of the elements work well together and no color is necessary.

Wedding Gift Commissions

We are often asked to create original artwork to be given as wedding gifts. Above are some recently completed gifts from parents to newlyweds and also from bride to groom (and sometimes couples have paintings created for themselves!).

From top: Katie and Andrew commissioned a wedding map together and had a print made to show at their wedding reception.

Carly had a portrait of her wedding venue, the gorgeous Mallard Island Yacht Club, created for a first anniversary gift to her husband Doug.

Kim and Matt also had a map created for their wedding, which they also displayed at their reception.

Lastly, Dana and Chris were married at the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The mother of the bride surprised them with this watercolor of the venue.
