Fun Gift Bag Inserts and Handpainted Wedding Menus

Victoria and Kevin made gift bags for their overnight wedding guests at Cedar Lakes Estate in Port Jervis, New York. The estate is a former summer camp turned resort. In keeping with the camp vibe, their gift bags included a deck of playing cards, as well as this cute little booklet. We loved how personal and thoughtful the contents were: the cover isa replica of Victoria's grandparents' photo album from summers in Port Jervis. Included inside each booklet is a history of and instruction for two family card games. Bag inserts provided thoughtful, handpicked local Hudson Valley suggestions from the bride and groom.

A handprinted and hand lettered dinner menu for the festivities features a spot illustration to represent each family - the Duffys (lion) and the Cherasias (cherries), which carried through to their thank you card design.

Autumn Wedding in Rustic Bucks, Co., Pennsylvania

Dana and Chris were married a few months ago at the historic Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm in New Hope, Pennsylvania. We began working with them in the fall of 2015 when we designed their Save the Date cards. An autumn theme was consistent throughout their designs, and the invitations featured an original watercolor floral bouquet, with their names printed in rose gold foil letterpress. Their diamond laurel monogram was used on invitation tags, cocktail napkins and wedding dinner menu. We also created a illustrated map of the venue area which were attached to hotel guests' gift bags.

Filigree Letterpress Invitations

Lindsay and Blake were married in May and celebrated their reception at the beautiful Rumson Country Club. Their wedding invitation design was inspired by vintage filigree designs. The neutral color palette combined with the vintage art elements made for a fresh, classic and romantic look. We continued their look for wedding programs and menus, pictured above. The menu art was revisited from their save the date design.

Caitlin and Dan's Formal Engraved Black, White and Silver Wedding invitations

We are about a year late showing off this graphic black, white and silver wedding invitation set. Caitlin and Dan were married in Manhattan last September. We used silver engraving, black and white metallic stocks, and custom stamps to create a formal, glitzy feel. An original illustration of the New York City skyline was used for the RSVP card and then again in reverse for custom stamps. We also created a drawing of their church for ceremony programs and combined graphic black and white stripes and a soft pink watercolor splash for their double-sided wedding menus.

Handlettered Letterpress Simplicity

It is always exciting to get an opportunity to have our original art and hand lettering letterpressed. Our friend Victoria of Milkfed Press printed these lovely invitations for Kate and Andrew's wedding. The suite was printed on Arturo cotton stock and featured a vintage hydrangea engraving. We worked backwards, creating the KA monogram first for their save the date, then later designed the rest of the letters to complete their names. Later on, the mother of the bride returned to commission a "C" to complete Kate & Andrew's married monogram. It is shown above along with the two letter monogram, which was embroidered by the bride's aunt and used as a bouquet wrap.

709 Wedding Show

We recently participated in a Wedding Show at 709 in Point Pleasant. Here are pictures of the menus and table cards we created for the sample tables (themed Beach, Rustic, Art Deco and Cobalt Blue). The lovely flower arrangements and decorations were created by the talented team at Purple Iris Flower Shop, also in Point Pleasant.

Alison & Ridge's Nautical Wedding

It is always wonderful to see pictures of our clients' events. These beautiful photographs of Alison & Ridge's August, 2011 wedding were taken by John Arcara. Clark's Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant served as a gorgeous backdrop for the reception shots. We carried the nautical theme through from save the date cards and invitations to menus, table cards, and seating cards. Tables were named for different sailing knots, and we coordinated illustrations of each knot on the backs of the seating cards.

Katie and Kevin - June 12, 2010

Clients Katie and Kevin just celebrated their one year anniversary and generously shared pictures of our work from their wedding reception. It was fun to see how the Dancing Shoes buckets looked filled with flip flops. Seating cards and starfish-embellished menus were also nice to see in context. We really enjoyed seeing the photo of Katie's wedding present to her father (an original "Father of the Bride" painting of the two of them) next to the DVD. Nashville Wedding Workshop

A few weeks ago we were asked to assist former bride Julia Gargano and her employers, photographers Justin and Mary Marantz, with stationery items for a Nashville wedding workshop. The shoot was featured today on Style Me Pretty! Thank you to Justin, Mary, & Julia for the opportunity and the pictures.
